"Property manager was extremely communicative. Arrived with no problem and found the place easily. Clean and comfortable. Pool was a disappointment as is small, and because of the extreme rainy weather while there, was cloudy and not kept up.... But I don't think anything could have been done about that because of the weather. I think in a normal weather pattern, it would have been fine. The only other wish would have been a table outside. We had chairs to sit in, but no outside table for...

"The location was close to LaFortuna in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The houses are really close to each other and there is no soundproofing so we could hear the very noisy house next door two of three nights. The pool had a nice view of Arenal. "

"Check-in with Carlos in town was easy and fun. He helped us get oriented to town and then took us to the house. It was a repurposed container truck with all sorts of creative touches. It had a carport. It had a hot tub made to look like a volcanic pool. The location was only 5 min out of town. We spent 3 glorious days at the 'luxury couples hideaway. "The view at this resort was beautiful. The pool was a big hit with our family and ee werw able to get a taste of the wildlife (toucans, other birds). The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The facility was well maintained. I'd recommend this resort for couples or for a family. A 15 min drive from the town center. Perfect if you have a vehicle. "

Volcano Lodge Hotel & Thermal Experience

"The staff seem to be genuinely kind and caring people, from the front desk to the landscape staff and everyone in between. Can’t say enough about the property. The staff was helpful with scheduling activities, and no fault of theirs that the activity wasn’t as advertised. We rode horseback to the waterfall meaning we rode horses up one side of a mountain and had to walk down to the waterfall and back up, was told it was 400 steps and it was literally 9000, straight down and back up. "

"This place is top of the heap!! I have stayed at lots of quality resorts and this one is on top of the list.. check in was easy, room was awesome, food and restaurants were great and plentiful. You can get a golf cart to shuttle you around or walk.. the property is beautiful and has three resorts to wander thru to eat, get coffee, jump in the thermal baths, or go to one of their three spas.. its a must try and the people are also awesome!! "
