"We were visiting Grand Forks during winter for a UND hockey game from Texas, so the first night was one of adjustment As we walked in the lobby area was welcoming, showing a little age but WARM. Check in was quick because of pre check in which was nice. Upon entering our poolside room, we were hit with a heat wave and were unable to locate a thermostat. There was a wall mounted AC unit so we turned it on and cooled off the room however it was very noisy. We turned it off to sleep and it turned on by itself and blew heat on us so we had to turn the noisy AC back on. The pool area as the rest of the hotel is showing some wear and tear but was still very enjoyable. The breakfast was great with a good variety and was resupplied often with a great selection of tea. We would stay here again and might even try to bring a group of college friends to have a little reunion."
