"Staff all excellent. Rooms clean and comfortable. Heating too hot and uncontrollable, eg no thermostatic valves. Bedroom corridor doors need silent closing. Breakfast good, evening meal adequate as limited menu and poor quality burgers. Plenty of character and bar busy."

When we went to check in another guest was being told they don’t have a room for him despite him having a confirmed booking. After the guest explained they needed to be at the concert for 3pm, the receptionist quickly gave him a room, mistakenly thinking he was performing in the concert.
