"We didnt get to stay. Property manager would not answer my call so we had to pay for another hotel to stay at. Very unprofessional "

"People are respectful of privacy and are welcoming. The breakfast was very appreciated, the lounge was relaxing as one plans for their day, and felt safe during my stay not just at the hotel, but in LA in general. Good amount of amenities and showers were very nice."

"Bed bugs in the rooms, people are racist and have their families living there with babies crying all night. I asked one of them to please keep it down after 12am and he wanted to fight me and kept threatening me! They’re all Turks and stink and are the most racist people. Such a horrible experience "

"This hotel was one of the best I’ve staying in quite a while. It was clean, rooms were large and roomy. Walls were soundproof, and great dining options though pricey. Right near the SGV so plenty of dining options. Parking fee of $47 was outrageous, but comparable to other nearby hotels. Overall a wonderful stay. "

"The parking at the hotel is crazy high. Just park up the street and get it for 20 dollars overnight or 12 for daily. Other than that, what can I say. Freehand is mostly a hostel, but as far as hostels go, it's one of the best hostels I've stayed in. There's a rooftop pool and bar. There's a bar on the ground as well. There are food options and other bars right across the street. Overall the stay exceeded my expectations. "
