"Probably the best choice for the area. The hotel is in good condition. Room with 2 queens is large. I appreciate the renovated shower and the coffee maker. The breakfast provided is decent if high on carbs. The only issue is the large number of homeless less than a block away on the underpass. To get to restaurants we passed no fewer than 30 homeless tents, people making fires right on the sidewalk, and many people with addiction issues. Totally NOT the hotel’s fault. It’s just unfortunate. "

"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good. On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....

Not for five times the price could I have gotten a stay as nice near...

"This location was a nice alternative to the traditional hotel experience. I loved that the staff walked me through the property and reviewed the amenities as we went along. Very clean and comfortable."

"Old and very outdated. There were lots of dents in the front door. We did not feel safe at this location. Surrounded by homeless encampments and you heard traffic from the freeway all night. At least we had hot water, room was clean and the heater worked."
