"Lovely and comfortable accommodation set in thr countryside just outside Newcastle. Loved the snug bar area with roaring fire and great choice of beers. Food was great and good value. Rooms were large and comfortable with everything you would need for either a short break or a business trip. Take time to find this next time you are in the area."

"The outside of this hotel is deceptive. Inside it is spacious, well decorated and our room was large and excellent, very well equipped,although my partner did not appreciate the wet room! I showered and afterwards he walked in with his socks on! It was a bathroom set up for anyone with a disability. We had a small evening meal, having been out for Sunday lunch and then to a party, but it was very tasty. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots of choice. I can't fault the service. It is excellent...

"Nice, big family room, the only drawback is the constant banging of what must be the toilet doors below the room. Maybe some sort of padding on the door frame would be a help. Also, the bathroom windows could be better cleaned. That all said, we would stay there again. "
