"Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. "The hotel area smelt of curry and beer with sticky floors, which was not a good start. The person at reception was confused why I was there, then realised I was the last person they were expecting. When I did get a key, there was silence before I asked where the rooms were. The bathroom smelt mouldy (which it was), the shower plumbing needed to be cleared as it was blocked, and the sink plug locked in place. "Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We had a really enjoyable experience. It was Mother’s Day weekend and myself and mum arrived at reception to be greeted with complimentary afternoon tea. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were fully equipped and spotless. Even having an umbrella to use. Lots of little details that made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We will definitely be returning and have told all our family and friends about our experience. Location was great. "
