They’ve anticipated every need we might have during our stay, and I was blown away by how everything was perfectly labeled—right when I had a question, there was the answer, ready to go! "Quiet and peaceful. Amazing night sky with the sound of the river and croaking frogs. Leaky has some great little restaurants. Bent Rim Grill and Gypsy Sally's were great. State parks nearby with good hiking, especially Lost Maples"

Our adventures included exploring caverns, hiking at Garner State Park, fishing, kayaking, catching minnows and tadpoles, skipping rocks on the water, playing football and baseball, Twister, and having a campfire with s’mores. The best part is all the memories we made. 冀"

"We were looking for a quiet, private getaway and this little house provided just that. While the house could use a little maintenance (some paint chipping), it is equipped with anything you might want in the kitchen and the bedrooms are very comfortable and inviting. The living room also had comfortable seating and games to play along with a nice TV. We stayed in two days and out two days. The outside was well equipped too from the grill and fire pitt to the bench swing and adirondack style seats in the front. The walk to the river was short and easy to get to. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful, well equipped stay close to the river. We had a lovely time."

"My family had a wonderful experience at Ashe Creek Hideaway. The property is beautiful and quiet, great for stargazing at night and bird watching during the day. The cabin itself is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked. We enjoyed playing yard games that were on the property and roasting marshmallows over the large outdoor fire pit. Our dog loved running around the fenced in yard and relaxing on the porch. Short drive to Garner State Park for hiking and picnicking. 100% recommend!"

"We stayed here while visiting a family member. It is so comfortable, and the location is rugged and beautiful - the most beautiful view of the stars I’ve ever had. It is remote, so plan ahead to get groceries. We had no trouble finding ways to enjoy ourselves (The World War II Museum in Fredericksburg is excellent), and there are state parks in the area I would love to investigate when the weather is different. Ashley was quick to answer any question, no matter how trivial. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, the Wi-Fi works great. We are thankful we found this home."
