"Dissapointing, unpleasant smell and a dated interior. Good location, but very dated, raw brick interior with an unpleasant smell inside the rooms. Online pictures of the property didn't match the reality. Interior of the rooms and bathroom had a dusty/mouldy smell, not I think from any lack of cleaning but more from the old fit out and build up of dust and damp in the exposed brick mortar and old grout joints between tiling. "A stay with no frills in this nice motel within walking distance to the town but with a beautiful view on the sea. The room could use a little glow up but for one night is more than enough. Staff friendly at check-in. Would stay here again. "

"I had an amazing stay at The Stamford Plaza Melbourne, which is always my top choice whenever I visit the city. The hotel's location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Melbourne, with everything you need just a short walk away. Whether you're in the mood for dining, a shopping spree, or exploring the city's famous landmarks, you're perfectly positioned. Public transport is also easily accessible, making it convenient to get around. I stayed in the King Suite, and it was fantastic! The room was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed and pillows were super plush, ensuring a restful sleep after a long day out. Another highlight was the superfast internet, which made streaming, work, and browsing effortless—a definite bonus for both business and leisure travelers. Overall, The Stamford Plaza continues to exceed my expectations with its excellent service, prime location, and top-notch amenities. I highly recommend it and will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Melbourne!"
