"If very nice hotel. It’s not downtown if that’s important to you. There are many hotels in town and many around the outskirts/mountain areas. The area has a lot of people biking, hiking, in the winter skiing and shopping with great restaurants downtown. "I recently spent much of the month of July traveling through Italy. Of the 8 hotels we stayed at, Hotel Pontechiesa was the only disappointment. Pros: Our room was clean and the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Cortina. Cons: 1) Breakfast seating is assigned. In our case, we were seated next to a family with two coughing children.
