"This hotel is perfectly situated next to Pistoia town, half way between Pisa and Florence and a perfect quiet calm stop between the two. Sadly the pool was not working the day we were there which was a disappointment but apart from that the service was excellent and the team were lovely and friendly."

"Another Gem we found. Super friendly staff, beautiful location, incredible view, cute room w balcony, great food at restaurant and nice breakfast buffet. But make sure to make reservatiins at any restaurant in this area for a Saturday night. Don't miss the porterhouse steak in the restaurant across the street. Pool area and terrasse is amazing. Highly recommend this place off the beaten path. 1 hour to each Pisa and Florence from here. "

"We recently stayed for one night in Montecatini, and it was a delightful experience. Though we arrived late in the evening, the area felt lively with a cozy bar restaurant right in front of the hotel and a small grocery store conveniently located just a block away. The check-in process was a bit slow, as the staff had to manually record our passport details into a ledger, but they were friendly and accommodating. "We enjoyed our stay at the La Monastica Resort immensely. The area around the resort was beautiful and the views from our room was gorgeous, even when it was raining. The staff at the resort was another bonus. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially our server at breakfast, Michaela (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She always had a big smile for us every single time she saw us and her service was impeccable. "

"Staff were awesome! Hotel is beautiful. Would stay again. Beds were super comfortable. Best sleep we got in Italy. This resort was a nice break from the city visits. The spa was nice, but the open hours made it difficult to plan days to visit areas like Pisa and Florence and spend time there without missing the spa closing. We did not have breakfast or lunch at the resort but we did have dinner. As someone who is accustomed to fine dining, it was disappointing. Food was under seasoned and lacked depth of flavor. I would definitely stay here again! Just next time venture down the way 5 minutes to a local restaurant. ☺️"
