"Gorgeous island and a 5 star property. The advantage of this side of El Nido (Taytay) is that there are no other resorts in the area. You are always alone on trips to small islands or diving. "We've been here before so we already knew that the rooms are worn, that there's no WiFi in the room (and in the public areas where there is - it's poor), that the grounds need more attention, and that the public restrooms near the sports desk are disgusting. The boats are also awful, with uncomfortable plastic benches. We returned anyway because the view is spectacular, the pools are fantastic, and the food at the restaurant is OK and reasonably-priced. "The first day I had a problem with my assigned room, but Sheri and Angelo were very kind to solve my problem. Very good location and facilities. The beds are very comfortable. "We had an amazing time at the Cauayan. We loved everything about it, the setting, the outstanding level of service, the nature surrounding it, the privacy. I particularly loved seeing turtles and baby sharks while snorkelling on the beach. We had two wonderful day trips to the nearby attractions and beauty spots and did some diving. Jeremiah deserves a special mention for making our trips even more enjoyable. We rarely go back to the same place, but the Cauayan might just become an exception."
