"Had a lovely 1 night stay at this historic hotel. The interiors are dated but that is part of the charm. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we had an upgrade on our room because hotels.com had overbooked and the staff were very good about it. The room and bed were comfortable, but the kettle was a bit rubbish and not convenient to use (it was connected to the plug which was behind the television) The breakfast was pretty average, not the best but you had enough options. "fantastic and charming place! Be prepared to walk up the steps on the inside but it's very delightful once you're in. The bed is super comfy and the shower was brilliant and the view is amazing. East walk to the station, ferry port, and coastal walk. Lots of interesting books to read. If you make sure the windows are totally shut the road noise will be less noticeable. Delightful spot and felt very historical with real pride of ownership. Thank you, Jason and Howard!! "

"We arrive a bit early, 1415 hours to be exact. When we went into the front desk area we were told that we were a bit early for check in. I didn’t mind that as I knew.
