"Our stay at Hotel La Palapa from the minute we arrived to the time we left was amazing. The location was central to Tamarindo and walkable to restaurants, shops & stores for groceries. The staff was so accommodating and friendly and made you feel so welcome. The restaurant and drinks were wonderful. Oh and the sunsets were beautiful! "

"Staff was courteous but did not offer any help to get our bags carried up or down the steps (no elevator). The room was nice and clean. The pool was beautiful. There is a convenience store off the lobby which was great for Kate night snacks/drinks. Only one block from ocean and easy walk to lots of restaurants. The breakfast was very good. "

"What a great little hotel! The staff at reception (Yorya, J-J, and Andrea) were super-friendly and helpful, providing information and booking me on 2 tours. The pool was lovely and I appreciated the shared kitchen. I loved the hammocks and hammock swings! It's a 2 min. walk to the spectacular beach, and watching the sunset was a highlight for me. It was definitely more difficult to get around as a solo traveller without a car, but I felt safe walking the beach and taking the water ferry to and...
