"Our stay could not have been more perfect. Check-in was easy and the receptionist spoke English fluently. She helped us coordinate an early check out the next morning as well as a porter to meet us at 5 AM to bring our items to the parking area and meet our taxi. "Beautiful lodge surroundings but limited dining options which were happily overcome by the charming and extremely helpful staff. I'd recommend staying here only if you're looking for stillness and tranquility as it's a very off the beaten path location that's at least 20 mins from the city centre of Essaouira which is very charming but quiet too."

"Great host and wonderful rooms. Everything was clean and nice and owners are very helpful. We stayed for 2 days and we were the only guests during that time, so it was very quite and relaxing. Villa Daba isn't near Essaouira's city centeral, but it is within driving distance. It takes anywhere between 15-25 minutes and it is a nice drive. Breakfast was great. We would stay again. "What a lovely stay! Within the walls of the city and a 3 min walk to the beach! This spot was special. We had a basic room and still had lovely high ceiling bedroom. The major selling point was the helpful and personal customer service and the terrace views over the beach. "

"The riad is beautifully decorated, very quiet but right in the middle of the souk. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and we felt like a part of the family after 2 days. The terrace room was lovely - tasteful and stylish decoration, huge and unusual. We loved it. We had a cookery class at the riad with Fatima. After shopping with her in the market we cooked a chicken tagine with aubergine salad. It was a lot of fun and food always gets to the heart of a culture. Of course the best part was eating it. Thank you to Meryem and all the staff for making our stay so special and memorable. "
