"Casa Lila is a simply beautiful 300 year old riad, within the walls of the medina, an easy walk to everywhere in Essaouira. The people who work there are warm, lovely and welcoming- they are so helpful, and they love their city. We had a wonderful stay."

"The riad is beautifully decorated, very quiet but right in the middle of the souk. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and we felt like a part of the family after 2 days. The terrace room was lovely - tasteful and stylish decoration, huge and unusual. We loved it. We had a cookery class at the riad with Fatima. "Beautiful lodge surroundings but limited dining options which were happily overcome by the charming and extremely helpful staff. I'd recommend staying here only if you're looking for stillness and tranquility as it's a very off the beaten path location that's at least 20 mins from the city centre of Essaouira which is very charming but quiet too."

"Our stay could not have been more perfect. Check-in was easy and the receptionist spoke English fluently. She helped us coordinate an early check out the next morning as well as a porter to meet us at 5 AM to bring our items to the parking area and meet our taxi. "The rooms are stunning and beautiful with the tile mosaics and artwork along with the rooftop for sunset and dinner! We were lucky to enjoy live entertainment while having a delicious dinner by the tiled wall overlooking the ocean. Also enjoyed an included breakfast with amazing service. Be ready to climb some stairs and quirky bathrooms. Great location within the Medina and would highly recommend! Thankyou"

"An amazing place to stay!! Really relaxed and soulful atmosphere the staff were so friendly, kind and helpful to us. They gave us total peace of mind, and the property was very secure. "A really nice riad with very good and helpful staff and a beautiful roof top restaurant. Very good food. The bathroom needed updating and the shower above the bath hit the window instead of the bath so was difficult to use (room 311) Breakfast was the same each morning which could be monotonous after 2. A wonderful location though and very nicely presented. "

"What a lovely stay! Within the walls of the city and a 3 min walk to the beach! This spot was special. We had a basic room and still had lovely high ceiling bedroom. The major selling point was the helpful and personal customer service and the terrace views over the beach. "
