"This is a safe, clean, small (I assume family-run) hotel in Des Moines, WA near the sound. Although it is not fancy or new, we have had good experiences staying in this quiet area not far from the airport. You can walk to the water and there are many good food options nearby. The price is reasonable and we find it to be a great deal. The halls are not carpeted, so you may hear noise from them and might want to bring earplugs or something if you are a light sleeper. I would ask for a room farther...

"Great view. The heat did not work well. We arrived to a chilly 54 degree house. There were no directions on how to turn on the heat units, after bundling in blankets for a day, one of the property managers showed us how to turn on the individual heat units. Even with those set at 75 it only warmed 65. The beds were horrible, they are old sleep number mattresses that didnt work."

"The rental unit itself, is very nice, especially the deck. All of our meals were eaten on the deck. Biggest problem was the leaking refrigerator/freezer. It has the same issue that was reported as far back as Apr of this year. When Vacasa was called and notified, they failed to respond.The LVP flooring in front of the freezer is visibly damaged, so one knows that this isn't a first time problem. "We stayed 3 nights for a local tournament. The house had everything we needed, and it was great looking out at the Sound in the morning. Highly recommend."
