"We stayed here for 4 days while we visiting Amsterdam. It was perfect for our family of 3. The space is very comfortable and it was good to come back and relax after a day exploring the city. The neighborhood has lots of stores, restaurants, and is close to public transportation and parks. Would stay here again when we come back to visit."

"The photos which were sent with our confirmation showed a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment. That isn’t what we got. The email had information for 2 different apartments. The photos provided should be of the apartment the customer is going to get. A picture speaks a thousand words. Mario was pushy. I wanted to carry my own luggage but he practically pulled my suitcase out of my hand after I repeatedly said no thank you. Will not recommend this place."

"Loved the location. Communication could have been better prior. Had to ask for towels and a hair dryer. He accommodated quickly. Would stay there again since location is in the heart of Amsterdam. Crazy stairs up to unit, if you have climbing issues beware. Couch in living room is really a small futon but he did provide an air mattress. Probably best for only 2 people in unit or a small child with parents. Overall good!! Loved Amsterdam!!"

"We loved our time Amsterdam, and enjoyed the central location of this beautifual canal house. You feel like you are staying in a piece of Dutch history in this hisotric home. The warnings about the steep, spiral staircase are well justified and would not be appropirate for anyone with any mobility issues. "Arjen and his Captain’s House were both AMAZING! Arjen was a FANTASTIC host!He carried all of our luggage in (& out!), gave us a walking tour that definitely helped familiarize us with the neighborhood, and he gave us several recommendations for places to eat….all of which were delicious!The Captain’s House was in a perfect location! Super central & convenient to everything! And staying in a place that was built in 1652 definitely added to the experience.Only complaint- we didn’t stay longer.I...
