"The cabins at healing springs are as the name goes, healing. 😇 cozy, quaint, Appalachian charm. The actual spring water is iron and mineral-rich. Took home a few gallons and should have stocked more. My dog loved the property as well. Don’t forget to utilize their fire pits to roast marshmallows and gaze upon the Appalachian night stars and constellations."

Very much suggest arriving during daylight, as the trek up the driveway and remoteness of the location can be a bit overwhelming in complete darkness. "We can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Happy Trails cabin in Damascus. You can’t beat the location - walkable to every spot in town and right on the Creeper Trail and Appalachian Trail. Lawrence was exceptionally responsive and helpful. Looking forward to staying again!"

"The cabin has lots of room. Kitchen is stocked with pans and pretty much anything you need serving wise. The oven is needing some help. It will only go as high as 410 and the top shelf is small and cannot fit all sizes of pans. Our stay was a lot of fun! There are two porches which as very relaxing. We hope to stay here again!"

"Excellent location and access to town. Beautiful home! Beautiful view! Very satisfied with that but the house was not clean. There were dead huge flies all over the floor in the living room. There was black animal hair in the tub down stairs. The bedroom upstairs with queen bed had large flies flying around window. At one time I counted 20. Biggest flies I ever saw. Whoever cleans for you does not do a good job."

"The house was lovely. Had everything we needed as advertised. Unfortunately, the town of Damascus was devastated by a flood due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power about 9:40am on 9/27. Also, lost water around the same time. We had to evacuate around 5:30pm on 9/27. We apologize for not being able to wash the dishes or complete some of the other check out procedures due to the circumstances. We are devastated for the community of Damascus as they have suffered catastrophic damage in town. Luckily...

"It is a very convenient location. Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."
