"Located in the heart of Santa Teresa, this was a decent stop for a couple of nights. Bear in mind it is located directly off the main strip, so it is quite loud at all times. That being said, the property is extremely walkable with all amenities close by, and no 4x4 required to access unlike some of the other properties located up the hill. . The living room AC kept the unit cool, and the equipped kitchen was appreciated. Decent price for the space, and property rep was very responsive."

"Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. "

"Casa Makai is a beautiful property with an incredible ocean/jungle view & very comfortable furnishings. The filtered water system was a treat, allowing us to fill our water bottles and drink directly from the tap, reducing unnecessary plastic waste. It is secured behind a private gate & monitored overnight by an on-sight security guard, (which didn't seem necessary as everyone in town was exceptionally kind and trustworthy). "This house is the perfect beach house. Our big family stay for three nights. We made a couple of day excursions but other than that stayed at the house, including for meals. "This property is fabulous. The construction and quality and layout of the home is wonderful. The view from uptop the mountain is exactly how it is shown. Stefanie the property manager was excellent providing information and lining up both our fishing excursion and our massause. Our masseuse was incredible. The trip up/down the mountain is interesting as are many of the roads in Santa Teresa and El carmen and you need a 4 wheel drive for sure. Once you get there it is well worth the drive."

"We loved everything about this property. It is private, quiet yet close enough to walk to the beach and the rancho bar. The whole area is flat so easy to manage if you have a stroller or if you are elderly. There is a full age range of people in this community which was super fun for nights at the rancho. I highly recommend this property. The owner was very responsive and organized. A fantastic vacation!"

"We visited Santa Teresa from Seattle. I was looking for a private home. We had an incredible visit. This home was amazing: modern, new, clean, pristine location, private pool, beautiful. "Everything was dirty in the property, from the shower curtain full of black mold to coffee maker and fans. Streets are full of garbage outside, smell of sewages and garbage is everywhere. In the shower we found worms and spiders. They even did not have the cutesy of cleaning the dishes, we had to re-wash everything before use. It was horrible. We decided to leave for a hotel the last 5 days of our trip."

"We loved the apartment and having two pools was great. The beach was a very short walk across the road and down a trail and there are restaurants on the doorstep. Santa Teresa is the perfect surf and yoga town, has a good healthy lifestyle feel about it and feels safe. We loved being able to walk back and forth to the beach so if one person had enough of the beach they didn't have to wait for the whole family. "Great stay. Attentive host. A very nice place sitting on a hillside overlooking the ocean and beautiful Playa Blanca beach at the foot of the hill. Enjoyed hanging out at the large terrace and taking in the amazing view. Saw a good number of scarlet macaws and flocks of pelicans. Down at the beach saw a troop of capuchin monkeys.
