"Beautifully decorated, in-town Stowe convenience within walking distance of many great dining options. Would be perfect for 2 adult couples. The only challenge with younger kids is that if you are skiing, the outdoor staircase that is used to access the unit is quite steep and one can’t wear ski boots down the stairs so this means we couldn’t get the kids fully geared up until we got to the car. We were fully aware of the stairs being a possible challenge when we booked so no fault of the host...

"The renovations on the historic building apt are beautiful and apt is completely comfortable. Downtown Hardwick is just outside the door. Bring earplugs for the traffic if you aren’t used to the city. Hardwick is a hub and all vehicles including trucks go through town."

There are plenty of bed for a big group, though (as the pictures show) they are somewhat oddly located. The floors in some parts of the unit are heated, which is delightful! My kids kept laying on the floor to get warm. The hosts were welcoming and helpful throughout the visit. One notable complaint is that the stairs leading down to the unit were pretty treacherous in the snow. My parents...

"Overall a really wonderful stay! The proximity to town center couldn’t be better, we went up for skiing and it was a quick six minute walk from our door to the ski shuttle pick up spot. You are also no more than a 5-15 minute walk to anywhere in town, and the grocery store being right across the street was also very helpful. We did cook one of the nights and found all the supplies necessary. The unit has everything that you need in order to be comfortable even Netflix and HBO access....

"The house is situated at the end of a point on lovely Lake Eden. We felt like we had the lake all to ourselves to enjoy in the mid-winter!
