"The room was small for a family of 4. The shower was nice and there was unlimited hot water. This is a budget/minimal amenity hotel. This hotel works for a 1 night stay for a family traveling in and around England. We are returning for 1 night before catching our flight home (USA) the next day. "

"Brilliant stay! I was initially a bit worried when reading the other reviews. There was sufficient space, bathroom was spotless and the rainfall shower was amazing. The bed was very comfy and I was suprised to find the room had been serviced after returning last night. Only thing I would say that on arrival there was a long hair on the bed sheet when I pulled back the cover and the picture frame above the bed was thick with dust. My room was also right next to the reception so could hear others talking and walking past through the night. Otherwise the room was well ventilated and overall had a great stay. You get what you for and will most definitely be back. Oh and the staff were extremely friendly and always had a smile in their faces! Thank you!"

"Great place as a base when visiting London. Very clean and tidy with attentive staff. Breakfast recommended as plenty of choice and buffet style - full English will cost you £12 locally. Room was big and decor nice and relaxing. Couple of bars on site that were great. Check-in can can be busy but staff manage it well. A good test of service was requesting more tea bags at 10:30 pm - they arrived ten minutes later, better than many more expensive hotels! Was surprised at how good eveything was for the money - save yourself £150 and stay here! "

Old, good base, good location l, good value,

"Friendly staff. Old hotel with small rooms, most do not have a bathroom/toilet so there are shared toilets & showers on the staircase between floors. Great location by Russell Square, 20 minutes walk to Center Point, Oxford Street, Dominion Theatre. British Museum is 5 minutes walk. Very quiet, only hear the birds in the morning. This inst glitz & glam, but good as a base for couples needing a night or two to stay. Nice old community lounge on ground floor to sit and read and has the tea & coffee facilities (non in tue room). "
