"I stayed for one night at The Cordelia as a solo traveller, and chose this hotel as it was conveniently located and looked great in the photos. I was not disappointed! From the moment I arrived, Rebecca was most welcoming. I was given a dis for the car parking on the road and was shown to my room which was warm and cosy with lovely decoration and a homely touch. "We stayed here Friday to Monday. We had room number 6 (top floor) which we didn’t mind - we got our steps in 😂 however the only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is that it was so hot (out of the owners control!) but it just needed some type of air con or extra fans. We had the window open the whole time which helped a bit. However - it was clean, tidy, excellent location and the owners are really friendly. "

"We had a lovely comfortable stay at Aldersyde B&B. The room was extremely clean with a comfortable bed and a lovely selection of teas, coffee, biscuits and delicious home made brownies. The shower was large and powerful, so good after a days hiking. The breakfast were excellent with lots to choose from. Angela and Neill were perfect hosts and we would love to stay again."

"Pascal was a fabulous host who made us feel utterly at home. Breakfasts were excellent and Cawthorne House is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Pickering which was perfect for exploring the town and for our evening meals. We will certainly stay again. "

"Emma contacted me unprompted to see what time I would be arriving, which was a nice courtesy. Enjoyed a nice slice of homemade cake with my tea upon arrival. Nice touch! My single room was ideal for a solo overnight stay. Comfortable and warm. Excellent breakfast included plenty of tempting options, all served in the spacious breakfast room. I would highly recommend Waves."

"Penny Hedge is on the outskirts of Whitby. There is plenty of parking. Nearby is a small shopping complex. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The pub provides a good range of tasty, good value meals, served by friendly staff. "

"Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty varied choice. Would we stay again ? Absolutely. Most definitely. Thank you for a great break. 🙂👏👍 "
