"We wanted a quiet getaway in the Shenandoah valley. We found it with this lovely home. My favorite spot was sitting on the covered back deck, listening to the brook. The pool table was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views as we biked down the road to the sugar house was the best. Ellis and Manette are the perfect host. If we ever head back, we would absolutely rent this home again. "

"My fiancé and I stayed here for the weekend for a friend’s wedding and it was incredibly surreal. The sights were phenomenal, and we managed to see lots of deer and cows. The entire home was well organized, clean, and had an abundance of amenities. "Quaint old farmhouse but has everything you need. Grounds are great even has a trail out back up the mountain. Our two golden retriever’s loved it! Shot drive up the mountain to Canaan Valley or Davis. Overall great stay."

"My husband and I, along with our pup, stayed here while we hiked and enjoyed a fall getaway. The property was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was also very clean and enjoyable. We spent most of our time hiking so we didn’t have much time left over to take full advantage of the activities provided by the host. Communication with Tiffany was convenient and easy. She was very responsive to any questions we had. Would stay here again!"

"The description in listing is spot on The home was comfortable and inviting. Had everything you would need for a great getaway including wood and starter logs for a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. The property is astounding!!. Stargazing was a delight! "We were family group of 12 and enjoyed the weeks stay. The home is laid out well for large groups with the kitchen and living areas completely open. Bedrooms are large enough though the bathrooms are small. Hot tub and pool table were certainly appreciated. The furniture while OK is in need of new cushions if not replacing. Pots and pans are well worn as well. Wifi had issues and is in need of updating too. I booked the property in Nov 2023 at $599 pr night which seemed reasonable...

"This was our second stay at Riverside Retreat and we hope to come back in the future. The cabin is clean, it has a great open floor plan, and the bed is super comfortable. The best feature of the property is the back porch. The view of the river is lovely and we spent hours watching the ducks, kingfishers, and hawks. Our dogs were in heaven, too!"

"This house was one of those old spacious houses that make you want to go buy one tomorrow. I especially enjoyed the dinning room and the living room. It was incredibly peaceful watching the fire crackle while the new year came in and than in the morning watching my kids eat breakfast with the snowfall as a back drop in the bay window.
