There is even a pack and play , which was helpful for us. Gary is so kind and helpful, he made sure we had everything we needed. We will be returning for sure!"

"Wonderful place to stay at. Loved the community feel even though wasn't expecting it. Also appreciated it was 15 minutes to nearest town, so great location to get around the area. Would definitely like to stay here again. Only thing i didn't like was all the additional fees at the point of checkout; would be better to just incorporate some of the fees into the actual nightly cost, but i think that's more of an application service issue and not the host,so why i didn't reduce stars."

"We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) "This property is full of character. Everything we needed was available for cooking, showering, bonfire....We had room to spread out and have some privacy. The location was great for Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls and two caverns. We had a blast!"

The hot tub was perfect, I would say the biggest complaint would be traffic driving past way too fast on that tiny little road That is not the host fault we witnessed the maintenance man almost get hit. Something needs to be done about that before somebody gets hurt, we definitely would like to stay again The area...

"This was our second time staying, and the first time we ever returned to a cabin we've stayed in because we typically like to explore new places. Let that be a testament to the property. The cabin is located near the base of Spruce Mountain and Spruce Knob is just a relatively short drive away. There are a plethora of hiking spots in the area, so if you're traveling to hike, this is the cabin for you! Smokehole Caverns is also a short drive away, as well as several restaurants. "We met some old friends of ours for a weekend stay. The place was perfect for 2 couples- 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and we shared the common area kitchen. we were too busy catching up to use the hot tub or the sauna. We could have used some more kitchen cleaning stuff (a sponge, scrubber or brush) but we made it work. When we got there the place was immaculately clean. I highly recommend. "
