"The stag was incredibly friendly. The location is really great. The room that we “upgraded to” was tiny. They also told us when we checked in they upgraded us further to a nicer room than we purchased but I didn’t see how that could be. The room was just a bed with a small desk and a bathroom. Again, great staff, great location but the room itself left something to be desired. We could clearly hear the people in the room across the hall as if they were standing in the bathroom talking to us....

"We loved the place despite the difficulty of getting there. Very rustic and authentic. The antique wood ceiling beams were special. No view and cold at night. Riomaggiere is worth the visit but be prepared to climb. Trattoria La Grotta nearby was excellent ambience and food. Alessandro was terrific! Very attentive proprietor..."

"Very nice house with friendly and helpful staff. Its a up hill walk of a medium distance. A bit difficult if you have baggage. Breakfast is not included. But just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Monterroso's esplanade. Old town is about 15 minutes walk along the sea. Plenty of eateries starting from the moment you come down the hill."

"Spacious room with a window with a great view of the water and the town. Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to train station however a steep hill to climb (not overly difficult but would not recommend for people with mobility issues). "

"This place exceed expectations, the church and naturist vibe were amazing. Who needs a TV or AC anyhow. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit"
