"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "

The rooms are good, I had a different room this time and it's probably due for some tlc, however it was serviceable and the bed was comfy etc. The Bowl has a nice feel in a lovely location - it was a stunning evening to sit outside and dine whilst reading a book - with the bell ringing practise starting in the evening. "We stayed at Channings because it was convenient to visit family in Clifton. Rooms were fine for our needs, wifi was good enough for work-related video calls, continental breakfast was good. Staff were helpful. Since the rooms are above a bar, we were not surprised by typical noise from downstairs, and it did not affect our ability to rest and sleep. "
