"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "

"The room was absolutely fine for one night's solo travel as I went to a friend's party. I didn't want to spend a fortune and the room was a good price in the right location. I hadn't expected tea and coffee making facilities, nor a hairdryer but was pleasantly surprised with both. The bed was comfy and clean. "A nice stay when in the area. The food is good, as are the team. I did hear some locals moaning about both, however that isn't my experience at all. The rooms are good, I had a different room this time and it's probably due for some tlc, however it was serviceable and the bed was comfy etc. The Bowl has a nice feel in a lovely location - it was a stunning evening to sit outside and dine whilst reading a book - with the bell ringing practise starting in the evening. "My partner had a good stay in that were close to the city and had all the facilities that we needed. The downside was that we had paid for a permit to park in the car park. However, we were not given the permit on arrival. We called and were told someone would be in touch and drop it off the following day. No one was in touch. It wasn’t nice worrying whether we were going to get a parking ticket during our two day stay. Luckily this wasn’t the case. "
