"We stayed at Carlos' “Club Apartment” for one week and liked it so much that we wanted to prolong our stay, but all apartments were booked out. "This boutique is a block or so from Paseo de Montejo. My favorite street in Merida. GREAT location. Walkable to everything. Tons of restaurants. Nelson, the manager, was so welcoming, hospitable, helpful, thorough and highly communicative. It’s a lovely, quirky layout that worked perfectly for me. Definitely one of my favorite places now. "The real stars of this place are Rosa and Ismael - who own the four rental units and live on sight. Rosa and Ismael were an absolute delight and we developed an easy friendship, with Rosa practicing her English with me and I learning some Spanish and the history of the yucatan state. "There is no AC in the main living areas. This is a problem when the temp outside is 100+. We really couldn't enjoy the house because it was too hot to move around. We were confined to the bedrooms. If you are traveling in cooler months this is a great option. The living area is large and nicely decorated. Kitchen is fully equipped. Nice little courtyard with pool and a large 2nd floor patio. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Location is good. Parking available on the street."
