"We have just got home from a lovely two night stay at The Bridge Inn. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were given a warm welcome. The room that we booked was a cosy double. It was everything we expected. It was small but adequate for our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. "I always enjoy staying here - nice location, friendly staff, quirky rooms, nice pub downstairs. Be warned that this is not a standard, generic hotel! An older building with "character", which I enjoy but others may not. Would not be good if you have mobility issues: lots of stairs (even in the rooms), small elevator, baths difficult to enter/exit. Internet OK but spotty in some locations. Walls are fairly thin (you can hear your neighbors talking) but I've never heard the pub patrons, even...

"Incredible service from the proprietor. When we arrived, the car park was full as there was a large wedding taking place. He moved his own car so we could get parked and whilst we were there, he and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming. 100% recommend The Belmore and will certainly stay again."

"Lovely place, comfortable clean room and good breakfast. I didn’t eat in the restaurant / bar in the evening but it was packed and the food looked really good. I was welcomed at reception by a friendly helpful receptionist and the lady serving breakfast was also friendly and helpful. In all it was a really good experience and I will be returning. "

"Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

"Great find, food was very nice Staff were lovely and very helpful. Restaurant was busy so must have a good local reputation. Sat in bar after meal on some lovely leather sofas with a beer chatting with other residents. Bed was very comfortable and slept well. Breakfast great- perfect fuel for a day of hiking. We will be back the staff were so nice and welcoming Thank you"

"The Plough is a quaint and adorable hotel/pub very convenient to the beautiful villages of the Peak District. The staff were friendly, food was delicious and our room was charming. We will definitely return when we visit this area again."

"Gorgeous from the moment we arrived. Our dogs were fussed, the staff were so friendly. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast so much aswell. A really lovely location … will definitely be back! "

"The one night stay was perfect, no complaints at all, bed is a super king bed, very comfortable, bathroom is really nice as well. Overall worth a stay here even just for one night or however long you wish to. The staff were friendly at all times and made us feel welcome. Will come back again"
