"I always enjoy staying here - nice location, friendly staff, quirky rooms, nice pub downstairs. Be warned that this is not a standard, generic hotel! An older building with "character", which I enjoy but others may not. Would not be good if you have mobility issues: lots of stairs (even in the rooms), small elevator, baths difficult to enter/exit. Internet OK but spotty in some locations. Walls are fairly thin (you can hear your neighbors talking) but I've never heard the pub patrons, even...

"We loved our stay at the White Lion. Rooms were lovely- a view of the river i would recommend. Food was lovely- breakfast and evening meal. The staff were lovely. Hebden Bridge was at its best, in the sunshine on the day we visited. Lots to do on the door step of the hotel, all within easy strolling distance. Market day was the Thursday we were there which was worth a visit. We parked away from the hotel, as the Hotel car park was full when we arrived- but this wasnt too far to walk so not a...

"Downstairs great, restaurant, breakfast, bar, especially the service and welcime though. Uostaurs us tired, dribbly shower, radiators don't seem to work (there is an oil heater supplied), caroet a bit manky and old. Needs some investment to bring the place back. For the centre of Knutsford this was all quite a surprise... "
