"The proprietor, Ed, took pride in the establishment. There was time taken and attention to detail in the room, as well as the outside of the Inn, being decorated for Christmas. The room was clean and very accommodating. The Inn was in walking distance to dining, shops, and the train depot. I would definitely stay at Calhoun Inn & Suites again and highly recommend it to those travelling to that area, or for those looking for a weekend get-a-way. "

"On the third night I was out on the hotel's balcony, looking into the mountains. Eventually I got up from a chair an leaned on the wooden railing of the balcony. Almost immediately the railing gave way and I fell down about nine feet with it over a sharp concrete ledge onto the concrete walkway. "This hotel is off the main street and a little old and starting to show its age. Front desk service was underwhelming. They are closed from 2200 until 0800. Hopefully you don't need any help. We hsve been coming here for quite sometime but will probably stay somewhere else. No breakfast either."
