"Love the decor and overall vibe. It’s walkable to lots of great shopping and restaurants. My room smelled like it had been recently painted and seemed a little dirty. The comforter had stains on it and there was piles of dust under the beds. Really hated the paint smell as I’m pregnant. But overall it was a nice place with a great location. The pool area was really cute. I wish the weather had been better so I could enjoy. Good price point compared to other hotels in the area. "

"The Charleston Place is an absolute gem. It has everything you need in one place whilst being in the heart of the French quarter so wherever you wish to go is completely walkable. We will definitely be making this our place to stay whenever we visit Charleston. "

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

"The hotel was impeccably decorated for the holidays and it was beautiful! Everyone we encountered at the hotel was so polite and helpful. Our room was well appointed and had all the comforts you could think of, which included robes, slippers, umbrellas, bottled water, etc. The one drawback to the room was that it didn’t have a mini fridge. We loved having the pastries and coffee in the morning too! Bed and pillows were very comfortable!"
