We so enjoyed taking a cooking class with her and her mother Veronica, who learned traditional Tuscan cooking from her grandmother. They also made a delicious dinner for us one evening. "This property is beautiful inside and out. If I remember correctly, there’s 20-25 people currently living in Barbischio. It’s peaceful with fantastic views to the west over Gaiole. Gailoe is less than 10 minutes away with access to grocery, meat market, several restaurants and gelato! The location is perfect with access to the train in Montivarchi in 25-30 minutes. Radda, Volpaia, Greve,,Siena, San Gimignano…all close. We will stay here again. "

"Lots of room for lots of people. We were only 6 adults, so we didn't really tax the space. I caution anyone trying to get to this location to be careful using Google Maps. Google knows incredibly little about this little enclave just outside Fiesole. It's worth it to find it. Follow the signs and you should get there. Having said that once you reach #5 part way up the hill. Just keep on going to the left and you'll soon see the next sign that will complete your journey. The dining area...

"Santa & Giovanni were wonderful! Anything we needed help with they were always available. Even gave us a ride to the train station! Fresh fruit & vegetables were plentiful! The air conditioners worked very well. It was very hot while we were there for 5 1/2 weeks. The pool was very refreshing. They even cooked for us along with their son & daughters help. We would definitely recommend you staying at this lovely home. It was very private, but the town was only 5 minutes away. "
