"Wonderful colonial casa particular with a lovely family, ready to help, to chat and to recommend the best spots in Havana! Leo and Angela were lovely, and we found ourselves more oftenb than not drinking cocktails and smoking cigars on their balcony, enjoying the view on the streets of Havana and the sunsets. Clean house, nice people, and a genuine honesty in the whole family. We loved our stay and would come back any time we are in Havana. 5' from Havana Vieja (Old Town) and from several of the best dining places in Havana, as well as from the Seaside!"

"I spent an amazing three nights at this property and had a wonderful trip to Havana Cuba because of the host. They were able to arrange private tours for me to include a walking tour of downtown and even a tour of the tobacco farms outside of the city. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing and personalized. All of the staff members were attentive and were very friendly. I felt like part of their family on day two.😀As a solo traveler, I felt safe at all times the facility was super clean and again it was just a fabulous experience. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend if you are a solo traveler or looking for the convenience of walking the city as the location was central to everything."

"I came to Cuba with low expectations due to the country's well known economic and infrastructure problems. The entire staff at Alhabana exceeded my wildest dreams. Every team member went above and beyond to make sure that our group of 6 people were well taken care of. They answered all of our questions, arranged tours and taxi rides, gave excellent restaurant recommendations, cleaned our rooms perfectly and prepared great breakfast foods. The Alhabana also has generator power to mitigate the effects of the scheduled daily power outages. The only minor issue is that the water pressure and temperature can be lacking at times. For people with a full head of hair (not me) it could be challenging. However, if it were a problem, I have no doubt that the staff could solve it for you. The surrounding neighborhood, like every other neighborhood in Havana, is noisy and dirty. There's absolutely nothing that Alhabana can do about it. The location is perfect. You can walk a couple of miles, or take a taxi, in any direction to see a huge amount of what Havana has to offer. I would not hesitate to stay here again. "

"This is an excellent small hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful with fluent English speakers. They booked excellent car and walking tours for us, and also provided solid advice on restaurants and getting around. The hotel is in a great location, but you’ll need to be able to walk up and down the long flight of stairs—which is pretty typical for Havana. They moved our large bags for us, so you just need to manage yourself. Drinks on the terrace upstairs at sunset was just delightful. Security is excellent with room safes and 24-hour staff presence. Our room had a very nice private bath, easily controlled air conditioning, and a well-equipped minibar. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you’re new to Havana and need a good base of operations. They will help you make the most of your visit."

"Beautiful casa with very kind and helpful staff. Particularly the ladies who worked in the kitchen. bathroom with shower and good amenities. Breakfast offered each morning, eggs, fruits, great coffee, fruit juices. Exchanged euros for pesos. Helped us arrange taxis."
