"The property is just outside of town. Would recommend a car to get around. It is a bit tricky to find after dark. The manager sent us detailed instructions to help and met us at the property to check in. Lots of monkeys to watch just outside on our decks. The furniture in the living room is a bit hard for sitting, but a great place to stay if you are looking for nature. Highly recommend."

"This is a simple and beautiful place where we enjoyed spending a lot of our time at the property. The nature trail, the hummingbirds, the views, the other wildlife and the peace made each day a wonder.In the yard we saw 9 different species of hummingbirds, coatis, white-faced monkeys and other birds and butterflies. We especially liked having Lillian's food waiting for us each day so we didn't have to figure out where to eat! She prepared olla de carne, veggies, tortillas, guac, the best pico...

"We stayed here in 2019 as well. Incredible views of Lake Arenal, volcano and jungle with howler monkeys and beautiful birds. We love the Eagle's Nest for a morning coffee and just to enjoy the view. 30 minutes from La Fortuna and 5 minutes from 3 nice restaurants and markets. Will go back again in the future. "
