"The hotel was excellent however the restaurant not so good. On our first night of two the manager tried to charge us for four extra drinks and if I hadn’t pointed this out we would have been charged. In the second night we booked into the restaurant and were told that out of an already sparse choice, two were unavailable. This was put down to it being a new menu. We left and ate in town"

"Excellent location very close to the walled city and with easy included parking. Easy check-in in an attractive lobby. Well appointed comfortable rooms complete with slippers and robes. Openable Windows, comfortable bed and pillows. However in our room, and especially in our bathroom, the lighting was poor and needs improvement. "We had an excellent 1 night stay at Sowell Le Chevaliers. The staff was very patient during our check in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carcassonne. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a walkout spacious terrace. We wish we could have stayed another night. The view we had of the walled city and overlooking the river (with bird activity) was a treat."

"Nice older hotel, but all modern features in room, in excellent location. About a 10 minute walk to amazing fortress/castle and same to the old part of town. Hotel had a small store attached, where you can buy great wine at an excellent price. They also had a great selection of cheeses and bread, plus other nice foods/snacks. "Perfect location. We went to Carcasson Cite every night for dinner. It is just steps from hotel. Hotel staff very nice. Food was good in their restaurant. Parking is easy. Room had little patio, but too cold now. Patio door did not lock. Never fixed. Area feels super safe, though. Cite shops cute, mostly touristy. Amorino gelato there. Good stay. "

" I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the property. From the lobby to the rooms, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The staff did an excellent job of keeping the hotel in top condition. One of the highlights of my stay was the ample parking available at the hotel. "The apartment was spacious. 1 bedroom, and sofa bed in living/kitchen area. Very clean and great air-conditioning. Kitchen/cooking area was basic but adequate for a short stay. "Good welcome. English spoken. Modern lift, large well laid out room. Comfortable beds, extra blanket, Fridge with two bottles of water. Kettle with tea and coffee. Wifi, Large walk in shower - plenty of hot water Good parking right out side the door or underground - small payment. In fact everything you could need and more. The restaurant, too was excellent - choice of French or Vietnamese cuisine, good wine list all at a very reasonable price all cooked on the premises. The pintade (guinea fowl) was amazing. As was the creme brulee. We will DEFINATELY be staying there again and would heartily recommend this hotel and its food."

"We very much enjoyed a return trip to the Villa. Booking very straght forward. The Villa has everything you could need -a home from home. Within walking distance to centre of Trebes. Very much enjoyed pool. Geoff's welcome and toyr/explanations very much appreciated"

Gîte des Patiasses, very spacious, between Rennes le Château and Rennes les Bains

Pure relaxation

"We normally do the all inclusive holidays but this year decided to drive and stay in a villa. Matt the host was always available if both pre during and post our stay for any questions issue concerns we had. We were not disappointed with this property this is massive an as family of 7 we never felt we were on top of each other. It is beautiful and our kids were in there element the lol was great the same room is perfect and we never wanted to come home we will be visiting again. Happy kids happy mum and dad thanks Matt"

"We had a fantastic holiday. The pool is a really good size for 6 of us. The house had everything we needed. The local sites are not far to drive to. Carcasonne medieval city and the lake caveyere were great day trips."
