"Beautiful setting in a beautiful town! The hotel is within 20 min walk along shaded, quiet streets to excellent dining and shopping in the town center, right in the university district. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and safely stored important documents that I’d left behind until we were back in the area a week later. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Hot water was copious - and hot! The pool is in a shady garden and a welcome spot to enjoy a glass of wine on a lounge...

"We arrived late at the property after a 6 hour drive, the owner refused to open the door, told us she had no booking, despite us having booked and paid through expedia. We were turned away with no where to stay at night with no phone data to find another place to stay. A terrible experience. The place appears very much to just be the owners house rather than a proper guest house. "

"We had a lovely couple of nights here whilst we explored the surrounding Stellenbosch area. We were travelling with our baby and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff - they had thoughtfully put a mosquito net over the cot they had set up for her and there was a high chair ready and set up every morning when we came down for breakfast - we really appreciated these touches.
