"I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. "Our second stay in this property and, as before, we were not disappointed. Spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and nicely furnished. The huge private roof terrace with spectacular views is wonderful. A car is required for trips to the coast or supermarket shopping but there are nice walks close by and a lovely local shop/cafe and we had some nice meals in the local restaurant. "

"Great location, I wouldn't say a car is needed at all if mainly planning to enjoy Praia Da Rocha. It's so close to the beach, a short walk down the steps, has a great Italian restaurant below it, and more restaurants, cafe's and the bar 'strip' further up.
