"I travelled from Newcastle and stayed here for my birthday - we had only heard of the hotel on the YWP website when booking an experience. The hotel was really nice, really clean and the layout was really nice (like little pods before entering the hotel with little shops, bistros, restaurants etc made it feel like a holiday resort.) The reception was another pod, the staff were really lovely and they had a little essentials shop too which was a really nice touch for toothbrushes and other things...

"The hotel itself is a little tired in places but the staff more than make up for it with literally the best service I have had in a UK hotel in a very long time. The tea/coffee refill station is a nice touch too "

"Quick friendly check in, quirky 20’s Art Deco reception, bar and rooms. Bed very comfy and shower nice and big. Local restaurants a short walk away, I didn’t eat or use the bar at the hotel Only downside room quite noisy due to traffic, and due to early meeting I couldn’t have breakfast "

"We had paid a £10 pp deposit on the evening meals. When coming to pay the staff claimed no knowledge of our deposits. It is not acceptable to have to make breakfast menu choices the day before. I have never come across this at any other hotel"

"Friendly welcome from all staff, chilled and calm environment in reception, really pleasant place to sit, quirky layout as hotel used to be a number of houses, helpful staff when we had an enquiry, clean and modern bathroom, comfy bed, extra tea and coffee provided, first stay here but will definitely be back."
