Waking up to that gorgeous vista every morning was simply breathtaking. Speaking of delights, the gourmet five-course dinners were an absolute revelation. Each dish was a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors and textures that left me utterly satisfied and impressed. And breakfast? Equally delicious, a perfect start to each day. The hotel grounds are a verdant paradise. The landscaping is, without a doubt, the most beautiful I've ever encountered. A stunning variety of plants creates a lush and vibrant atmosphere, with hidden pathways leading to natural waterfalls. And the best part? These aren't just for admiring – they're safe for swimming! Imagine taking a refreshing dip in crystal-clear natural waters surrounded by such beauty. There are also pristine pools and inviting hot tubs, perfect for relaxation. And for those seeking a bit of mindful movement, the complimentary yoga classes were a wonderful addition, held in serene settings that enhanced the experience. What an amazing resort!"

"We chose this property because it was beautiful, secluded, and would accommodate our family of twelve adults ranging in age from 55 to 90. When we arrived, we were amazed by the Villa, foliage, and views. Our host, Stephen, who was very responsive to our questions before we reserved the property and throughout the process, was there to meet us. We also met the wonderful staff that would be with us throughout our stay. Esteban, Yenesi, Sophia, Juan Jose, and Alonzo were attentive to all of our needs and requests. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and served like we were in a fine restaurant! We spent most of our time at the Villa, enjoying the various seating areas that afforded the opportunity to see wonderful views of the fantastic birds of Costa Rica, guided walks around the property, stunning views of the valley and forest surrounding us, the pool, and garden spa. Juan Jose arranged for nine of us to visit Nauyaca Waterfalls. All of us visited San Gerardo de Dota hoping to see the Resplendent Quetzal, which we didn't see, but we did stop at Savegre to have lunch and enjoy the gardens full of gorgeous hummingbirds. One day eight of us headed to Arco Beach to enjoy the hike to the ocean to see the caves. We saw birds and White-faced monkeys along the way and enjoyed drinks and food at La Cusinga afterwards. Two members of our family enjoyed walking the Whale Tail in Uvita. We fell in love with the place and the Staff! Our Mom was treated like a Queen. Pura Vida!"

"our stay at Madre Selva was absolutely wonderful. the house was spacious, clean, and surrounded by wilderness. Every morning started with an orchestra of birds and beautiful sunrises. Highly recommend taking advantage of Carolina’s expertise, cooking, and planning. We had a fabulous time and will be coming back!"

There are a lot of activities for guests such as bird watching, hiking trails, horseback riding. There is also a Spa that offers diverse services. Excellent place to relax by the River Savegre.
