"I have stayed here 2 years in a row now. I love how friendly and helpful the staff is, rooms are clean and spacious. Perfect location close to the beach and walkable distance to the boardwalk but not so close for all the noise, quiet and peaceful. Love the hot tub, was the reason I chose this place originally. "

"The house was amazing and the deck was awesome, the location was perfect. We were able to bring a dog and the house was very accommodating to him. The restaurant across the street was super convenient and had live music. Definitely would recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting the area!!"

A Truely Beautiful Spot

"Is there such a thing as "TOO quiet"? So peaceful. There were days we literally had the beach to ourselves. House and views were beautiful. Open floor plan. Very clean. Plenty of room. Never at once felt crowded They really provide everything! Hot tub very nice addition. Would definitely stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Booked this property for a get together with college friends and couldn't be happier with my choice! Very clean and very functional for any type of stay. Great location- 30 mins to Portland and not far from downtown Biddeford. Would stay here again!"

Refined Serenity

"We can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was staying with Benda and Phil (and Ollie). From the remote setting, to the quiet upstairs apartment, this truly had everything we needed for 9 days. Brenda has decorated with the traveler in mind. Sleeping area was separate from the "living" area. We utilized the small desk to use our laptop, and overall had plenty of space to spread out. The window blind on remote control was great in the mornings, there were plenty of blankets, pillows, pool towels and even bath robes. The snacks they supplied were perfect to get our mornings started (bagels, cream cheese, muffins, jams, peanut butter, OJ.....). Brenda and Phil have full lives, and stay busy, but were always happy to take a break from their yard work to chat with us and to hear about our day and future travel plans. We try to get to this area at least once per year, and look forward to staying here again."

Beachfront Family Retreat Cottage and Carriage House

"We had an amazing stay with 5 families at this beach house! The house fit us all very comfortably and all 10 kids had the best time exploring the beach, the backyard, and the neighborhood. The house is at the end of a dead end street and was perfect for biking and scooter riding! The kids all loved riding over to the general store right around the corner to get candy and ice cream. Would highly recommend this house and would definitely come again :)."

"The home was very much as advertised. Nicely appointed with a traditional beach motif. The host was very responsive. The location is central to Portland and Kennebunkport. It also helped that we had great sunny and 70 weather. Walks on the beach everyday."

Classic coastal home near the beach w/ lush garden, game room & deck - dogs OK

Owner should air the house out!

"CONS: Trying to figure out how to unlock the door was ridiculous - very confusing instructions. Finally called the agent. The house smelled very stuffy & musty so we opened all the windows. shouldn't the cleaning staff had done that?? The exterior of the house is in need of repair - rotten shingles. Also the interior trim around the windows is in bad shape. The fridge ice machine did not work and the 'professional ice machine' also was not hooked up. And as another guest noted: 2 dish towels and 1 roll of paper towels - hardly adequate. PROS: Nice area, close to beach walk, and the grounds are lovely, professionally landscaped. The kitchen obviously has gone through a major overhaul and is wonderful. The beds were all very comfortable. Nice dining room. And huge TV room although the window shades look wonky. Lots of room for a family reunion!"
