This quintessential Maine post and beam farmhouse was built in the 1800's! The main house was moved from its original location and added onto over the decades. This home is one of a kind, nestled on 1.3 acres of perfect Maine land. It is only 5/10 of a mile from one of Maine's most picturesque beaches, Biddeford Pool, and super close to one of Maine's top colleges UNE (University of New England).
This home has history and character visible in the wide plank pine floors, post, beam construction, and well-kept landscape surrounding the house, including aged stone walls and fantastic lilac trees. Guest will have access to the entire property - Except for the detached garage and large barn. Please note that this is an old home; there are uneven floors and thresholds you must step over. PLEASE REFER TO "THINGS TO NOTE" below.
This home offers two cozy living rooms with televisions and is the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Maine's stunning coastline. Complete with all the essentials to prepare delightful meals; the kitchen offers a practical and welcoming space for your culinary endeavors.
The primary first-floor bedroom features a plush king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower stall. The second floor has three bedrooms; the first bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed and a twin bed. The middle bedroom has a queen-size bed and access to the second-floor deck to overlook the property. On clear days, you can see the ocean. The last bedroom is best suited for kids with two twin beds and a futon bed; these three rooms share a well-appointed full-hall bathroom with a tub/shower unit. The twin-bed bedroom has low ceilings, which is not suitable for tall people.
Outside, you'll find a covered/enclosed porch, ideal for enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The backyard provides a cozy space for family games or relaxing by the fire-pit under the stars.

***THINGS TO NOTE:***
**This is an older home, which is why it is full of charm. That being said, it comes with quirks. As such, the price reflects this. The average hotel room in town is approx $500-$1000+ (for 2-4 people) depending. If you prefer newer buildings or high-end hotels, this is probably not the best option for you**
There may be yard maintenance going on from time to time in the summer (mowing, etc). They will not interrupt you, but we cannot give you advanced notice, they arrive on their own terms.
