You can do as much or as little as you like in natural surroundings, the vistas/views from this location are outstanding with a variety of well trodden, yet seemingly undiscovered pathways weaving organically from the rocky outcrops to and from the playa."

"All of pools were quite cold-- I was sold on this property because it said it had a hot tub. The hot tub was located in the spa area and only accessible for an extra $35/day. Other than that, the property is absolutely stunning and one of a kind. Rooms were very comfortable and modern. Excellent service."

"Very enjoyable stay during our first visit to Madeira. Ideal location to explore west of island. Beautiful modern hotel and large, spacious room with balcony overlooking banana plantations to open Atlantic Ocean - can hear the sound of the ocean from the room and great sunsets - magic! Staff very helpful & friendly throughout and easy check in / check out, exceptional value for the price. Amazing bakery with some of the world's best cakes & treats downstairs - ideal for breakfast, afternoon...

"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. The staff were quick to clean it up and replenish the food. We had buffet dinner once and that was really nice. There was a good selection of food that was constantly topped up. The pools were excellent, but it was slightly annoying that other guests hogged the sunbeds by placing towels on them early in the day but didn't go there until later. "
