Villa with private pool, large garden and stunning sea view

The villa and property has 180 degrees sea view. The 100 year old stone house was rebuilt and modernized in 2007, while retaining its simplicity and modesty. Upstairs the house has a joint living room/dining room/kitchen, a bathroom and a large bedroom, and downstairs two bedrooms. All rooms have sea view and lead out to terraces. There is a stereo, dvd player, several films and a monitor but there is no wifi. There are also many books, in many languages, also for children. Linen and towels provided. The pool is 3 by 6 meters, not heated. There are several terraces for dining and sunbathing: a roofed one outside the kitchen, one old and one new outside upper bedroom, one under grapevine outside lower bedrooms, and one around the pool. The surroundings consist of farming terraces and flower gardens. The road is reached by private stairs (60 steps). Parking on road about 100 metres away from top of stairs. The inside of the house is rustic and functional, while the outside is spacious and private with many semi-tropical plants.

Couples getaway trip
We had a fantastic stay with Maria. The rustic property was in a cute, quiet, and private location with an amazing view of the ocean. Easy parking was available below the church, which was a 5-minute walk away from the property. The garden and view were highlights of the property that we will always remember. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place to anyone wanting to visit Madeira.

Idyllic views at the end of the world
If you are looking for a secluded breathtaking location with a cozy, rustic but functional lodging - this house is for you. Sure there are some insects, and the house is not brand new but it all adds to the charm. And I promise you - you won't find any better view for your swims, dinners and birdwatching. The host was super helpful!

Séjour magnifique avec vue incroyable
Séjour en famille de 12 jours dans un petit coin de paradis avec une vue incroyable sur l'océan et le spectacle quotidien du coucher de soleil depuis la terrasse.La maison traditionnelle est charmante. Nous avons adoré cet endroit.

José et Maria qui gardent le logement sont tops. Descente a pieds d'une pente bien pentue,( environ 100 metres) puis 70 marches, pour arriver a la maison. Sachant que l'on ne peux pas se garer tout prés. Maison très très vétuste, un manque total d'entretien du mobilier et des équipements. Photos a l'appuie. La vue est belle.

Huis zeer vochtig en koud. Handdoeken en kleding bleven hele week vochtig. Schimmel in de keuken(kasten) en de badkamer. Lekkage boven het aanrecht/kookplaat. Waterkoker lekte zodat er water stond op de elektrische plaat. Muizen en mieren in de keuken. Meubels (bank en stoel) oud en vies. CD speler etc functioneerde niet. Slechte, oude matrassen in de bedden. Deur naar badkamer kon niet dicht, slot kapot. Huis niet geschikt voor 6 personen zoals in de advertentie stond; 4 krukken bij de ‘eettafel’ Al met al een grote teleurstelling

Au calme
Logement un peu vetuste mais tout confort avec 7 couchages et 2 chambres indépendantes. La vue est magnifique avec 2 terrasses dont une couverte. José nous a attendu a l église car nous avons eu 2 heures de retard, merci...le logement est au calme situé a 45 min de funchal et 35 de porto moniz. Attention car le parking est a 100m et ça descend beaucoup (un peu sport si vous êtes chargé). Pas de wifi mais 4g sans problème.

Een net huisje op een rustige locatie
Een prima verblijf gehad met 4 volwassenen op een prachtige rustige locatie. Deze is alleen te voet te bereiken, dus handzame koffers is een aanrader.

En si el conjunto estuvo bien , aunque habría que mejorar bastante el mantenimiento de la casa...( El lavavajillas fallaba continuamente, el termo del agua caliente es bastante justo, da para una ducha y mitad de otra, faltaría también donde tender la ropa interiormente por si llueve cosa que nos pasó, no hay ni plancha ni tabla de planchar, el colchón de la habitación principal era para mí una tortura, colchón de muelles) aparte falta una buena dosis de limpieza en la cocina había restos de comida en los cubiertos, y en los azulejos y el menaje.estaba grasiento.. La piscina en sí está bien pero faltaba limpieza.. eso sí unas vistas impresionantes, unas bonitas puestas de sol, una tranquilidad increíble, disfrutamos muchísimo esos ratos en la terraza.. Si no fuera porque el colchón me destrozó la espalda lo hubiese disfrutado el doble. Para llegar a la casa tenías que subir y bajar 40.000 escalones al final se hacía muy pesado, aparte que eran irregulares y había un trozo donde no había barandilla, tenías tener cuidado en no caerte...le doy un 6..... Si repitiera en esta casa sería por la tranquilidad y las vistas por nada más.

Séjour de rêve
Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve et la maison y a contribué. Une vue incroyable, une piscine appréciable, beaucoup de charme. Une des plus belles locations où nous sommes allés. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire et avec José et Maria. L'absence de Wifi est aussi un plus, cela permet de vivre plus de partages en famille et de se consacrer à la lecture. Il y a de nombreuses Levada à proximité, nous avons particulièrement apprécié Moinho + Nova, au dessus de Ponta del Sol, ainsi que Alecrim (plutôt que 25 fontes !). La rando PR13 à Fanal est également un incontournable, de même que les piscines naturelles de Porto Moniz.

Traumhafte Lage
Das Ferienhaus liegt in traumhafter Lage. Leider war es Nachts ein wenig kalt im Februar zum Glück gab es zwei Elektrische Heizungen. Das Warmwasser reicht nur für 1 Person zum Duschen oder abwaschen. Das Haus war nur oberflächlich gereinigt. Weiße Cautsch war mit Flecken und sollte mal abgezogen und gewaschen werden. Fenster waren schmutzig. In vielen Ecken und hinter der Cautsch waren Spinnenweben. Die Aussicht und der Garten und die Ruhe sind traumhaft wunderschön.

Absolute Ruhe - einfaches Haus
Die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, die Lage mehr als ruhig. Sehr gut zum entspannen. Das Haus ist leider ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und gehört mal wieder generalüberholt. Schlüsselübergabe war problemlos. Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war gut. Das Objekt hat kein WLAN. TV ging leider nicht.

Un endroit exceptionnel
Nous y avons passé 15 jours à deux. Camp de base idéal pour découvrir l’ouest de l’île. La piscine est un plus non négligeable au vu du peu de plages disponibles à proximité… De plus, nous avons apprécié cette vue permanente sur l’océan, très bonne situation du bien… Bref, adresse à recommander.
