"It was okay - neighbourhood is gross (like a lot of cities and towns in Costa Rica) it’s filthy with garbage everywhere, broken sidewalks, stray dogs, etc. not really anywhere to eat except little roadside stands. But the hotel itself was good, very clean. Okay for a night if you’re just passing through."

"Overall this property is family friendly and nice. Walkable from most party areas in Jaco. The only issue I had with is the maintenance. The bubblers in plunge were not working and hit water wasn’t working in couple of bathrooms. Even after multiple reminders and requests the property management failed to fix that. "

"We love it here! It was true walking distance to everything. The add is pictured exactly as you would hope!! The view was amazing and the pool and beach are as close as they appear in the listing! The roof top deck is perfection for watching the gorgeous sunsets over the ocean!! Our host was great! Easy to reach and super helpful! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! "

"Our stay in Girasol was very pleasing. The property is in a prime beach-front location, has a decent sized pool and you cannot beat the pet-friendly portion of it! The rooms are a bit outdated, ours had a funky smell and didn’t even had a TV in the bedroom. The whole getting in and out of the parking lot could be improved, it’s not a very effective method to have to go get the guard every time you want to get in or out of the property by car, however, I would definitely stay here again!"

"The management team and front desk staff was very unfriendly and not very knowledgeable about the hotel property. The bartenders, restaurant staff, casino staff, bellman, etc. were very friendly and had great customer service skills. This hotel caters to families and not to a group of friends looking to enjoy a vacation. If you are not going with your family, do not stay here!"

"BUYER BEWARE No hot water and beach is dirty. I contacted Vacasa before confirming reservation to verify had hot water due to previous review. I was told I would have hot water but never did. The pool water was warmer than the shower. The company was notified as soon as we knew there was no hot water. Beach is very dirty due to ships waiting to get into port and dumping garbage while waiting. We did see monkeys and birds which were beautiful. Sorry for the bad review I tried to work with you."
