"Great room, staff, location. Everything was great!"

"Good overall, not amazing Pros: Great location, decor, bar and restaurant. Hot tub was alright and the gym is decent. Balcony had an amazing view. Cons: No sauna (even though it’s advertised), pool needs major repairs (one of two pools open, plus pool bar was closed), and discovered mold on the bathroom floor (we were in room 719). Really a 4 star hotel, some repairs and renovations can bring it up to par."

"We stayed at the Horizon Suite - the views are beautiful. Service at the reception was also excellent. A fair few things to improve on: 1. The hotel furniture/washroom fixtures etc all seem very dated and need immediate upkeep. Even very quick fixes like chipped drain blockers seem to be missed 2. The bedroom of the horizon suite was really small; much smaller than other suites I have stayed in and didn't have a TV or even enough plug points to charge electronics. "The Double Tree is always a good olace to stay when in Cairns.. It’s location is great and metres from The Esplanade and restaurants etc.. Easy to get to the boats if you’re going to the Islands of Cairns . "

"Great location and this Hilton’s was lovely, although the room was a tad dated, much like other Hilton’s we’ve stayed in round the world. Staff were very helpful. Only one disappointment is that this hotel was consistent in the fact that the AC was terrible. Again, the same as other Hiltons we have stayed in. Malaga, Spain being a prime example. Take your own fan if you choose this hotel"

"Totally loved staying here. Apartment was clean, quiet and perfecting placed for all of our excursions. Restaurants were plentiful and with great variety. Staff was awesome on check in! Made sure we had all our questions answered and offered suggestions."

"I would just like to say that the Manager I think his name is Don went over and above to assist me in every way. There was nothing that was too much trouble for him. Our train ran late and I called the after hours number and he was there in a flash to help me gain entry to the building. I had a query re my Expedia account and he went over and above to sort it for me on a Sunday. Could not fault the service. Would I stay there again and the answer would be a YES. Thank you"
