"Bugan is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Recife. It’s very new, clean, and modern. Most of the other hotels along Boa Viagem beach are 25+ years old and starting to look rundown. The room we booked at Bugan was huge, comfortable, well decorated, and it was a great price. The breakfast included was very high quality too, not your typical cheap hotel breakfast. They had a French chef making custom omelettes. I was impressed."

"The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean and simplistic but dated (especially the mattress), it does look as though they are slowly updating things one thing at a time. The A/C worked well. Limited T.V entertainment (2 channels),no access to platforms such as Netflix etc. "

"We went as a family where we had different interests in our group such as swimming, night life, and just loafing in the beach, we were all happy with what we got. You can stay near the big pool during the day if you like the noise of organized activities or you can use one of the comfortable palapas if you value a quiet environment. It is all one step from the beach and the bars. Food was not sophisticated but good quality and variation, with restaurants open at all times. Spa had great options and was overall a very good experience. Staff was very helpful an non-intrusive. "
