"We had a lovely stay at The Charm. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious, clean and had all the amenities you’d want. Bathroom was lovely and bright, with a huge bath tub. Ideally situated for Brighton and discovering the city."

"Very nice, friendly - some might say quirky - hosts who made us feel very welcome and were great company. They helped us deal with a booking issue with no fuss. The pub itself is a little gem with a great selection of real ales, whiskies, and of course, rum. Appetising food, if you like authentic Caribbean fare. "This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it does not dissapoint. The host rememberd us and upgraded our room. She was friendly and welcoming and we had everything we needed. "Everything was great, the only small gripe I had was that it took a long time for the hot water to reach temperature for the shower, even using the electric boost option. Host was really helpful and room excellent and spacious for a solo traveller which was much appreciated."

"Absolutely fantastic, exceeded our expectations by miles! Room was lovely and bed was so so comfy (four poster bed, fantastic surprise) it was an amazing room, good tv nice bathroom too! AMAZING. The architecture of the house was also beautiful. The breakfast had everything you needed and desired! The owners were also lovely and friendly! Exceptional value and in a perfect location for all the National Trust locations"

"This hotel is quirky and old which adds to the charm and character. Some parts are dated because they are listed and have great history. 1920’s lift! Winston Churchill chair. We loved these additions. It is clean, well presented and staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. They explained our options for room, checked we were ok on higher floor and offered to show us how to get there. (Some areas are a bit warren like to get to (part of the charm). The room was large, clean, comfy beds, well stocked with tea/coffee, toiletries and towels. Big comfy pillows, warm room, TV etc. The water pressure was challenged (explained in bathroom notice - due to old plumbing and high floor) but adequate. It got warm but not hot in shower. Drunk singing guests woke my daughter around 1am and the windows let all noise through. Noisy traffic and bin men woke me at 6am. These are not the hotel’s fault but a consideration if you are a light sleeper. The beds were really comfortable and we easily got back to sleep. It was hard to leave the beds for breakfast, but we are glad we did. Again we were met by friendly welcoming staff, explained the buffet available and asked which drink we would like. All delicious and plentiful. A large range of cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries and fruit and yoghurt on offer. We had a brilliant stay and will come again. The hotel is right on seafront and near The Lanes. Parking available. Awesome. "

"Loved my two night stay. My room was one of the newly renovated rooms and it was lovely. I was on the fourth floor. Looks as if they are working their way around the rest of the hotel but there was no noise or disruption. The reception staff were very friendly and overall the hotel added something special to my short stay in Brighton. "
