"Never stayed at a La Quinta before but this hotel was very impressive with the service they provided, breakfast was great and housekeeping was excellent, plus quiet rooms which was nice after the long days we had traveling and sightseeing. We will be back again "

"We got off a cruise ship in Galveston at 9:30 AM and didn't think the hotel would let us check in at 11:00, but they did! So grateful we didn't have to sit in the lobby for 5 hours! Nice sized room with a frig and a microwave! Unfortunately, we didn't have a car to get around and the restaurants in the area (that were walkable) were few and far between. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good:eggs, sausage patty, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal and waffle irons. AND, a free shuttle to the...

" However, the only downside was the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways, especially in the mornings. It was really overwhelming and unpleasant, making it hard to enjoy the otherwise nice environment. I hope the management can address this issue because it definitely affects the experience for non-smokers. I would consider staying again if this problem is solved."
