"We had a wonderful week staying in Hindburn cottage at Jan and Duncan's converted farmyard. You're surrounded by greenery and nature and can even say hello to goats, ducks and sheep in the grounds. The accommodation had everything we needed, a full kitchen, decent bed, and instant hot water for the shower. The online guide from Jan and Duncan covered all our questions and had several great ideas for places to eat, visit, and for country walks. Even better, they're truly one of the nicest couples...

"We had a lovely stay with our granddaughters. Cowslip cottage was ideal for us. The girls loved having their private bathroom. Everything was spotless, beds comfy in fact couldn't have asked for more. The girls loved being with the animals and in the play area - we had to drag them off to go into Scarborough! So peaceful if all you need is a rest."

No.3 Sandside, Whitby - Stay North Yorkshire

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

Very nice

"We were actually surprised that we had such a nice stay after reading the reviews. You get what you pay for at the end of the day and we paid £40 for a twin room. It was clean and comfortable we got a lovely sea view and the shower was great. The only problem was the check in we waited about an hour in the queue as they required photo id and a lot of the guests checking in were unaware of it so it held everybody up, thankfully we had ours. We would definitely stay here again. "
